I voted for the Allard. Cadillac OHV V8 in a car the size of a shoe, in the 1940s? The absolute inspiration for a large number of coachbuilders and Carroll Shelby himself?

Cobra, UNLESS the Allard had a Lincoln-Zephyr V12 (some of them did according to wiki) in which case, it breaks past the "speed and reliability vs notability and coolness" barrier and is better.

As much as I like the Allard I love the Cobra. No other car embodies the American take on the British roadster like the Cobra.
